The Hero's Journey is the term used to describe the stages of the hero developing emergence throughout stories. Each stage has its own description of what occurs in that stage of the hero's journey. The 3 stages of the journey is the departure, initiation, and the return. The sub-stages of the departure stage are the call to adventure, refusal of the call,and the beginning of the adventure. During these stages, the hero received a call to their adventure but declines and finally starts their adventure. In the the initiation stage there is the road of trials, experience of unconditional love, and the ultimate boon. During this time the hero experience a series of test, gain a lot of support, and achieves his or her's goals. In the final stage of return there is the stages of refusal of the return, the magic flight, help from without, and the crossing/threshold. In the return stage, the hero doesn't want to return their original place of trouble but experiences one last challenge as they choose to return and seeks help and support upon their return. Finally they receive the wisdom that was needed to complete them.
